Self-Aggrandizement

Music video “This is who we are” = Arrogant jerks

This is a music video brought to you by Dash Berlin, a Dutch trance music group. It is based around the front man DJ Jeffrey Sutorius who is also known as Dash.

From the start of the video you get snippets of the story, and that he is constantly on the run in Indonesia.

At around the 00:38 second mark of the video, Dash can be seen sneaking around on a place occupied by Asians, and then stealing a device which sparks a chase by the occupants.

Around the 1:00 mark, an Asian woman is waiting for Dash with a race car and the lyrics are…

“We are the young ones drifting away our soul…Somewhere on the high line (High line)….”

Our cultural products model our behavior.  In this song, it shows how a White male with an Asian female partner up in crime against Asian men and get away in a Lamborghini. Later, Dash’s two friends, are socializing with Asian females…

Meanwhile, the Asian men who were victims of theft are on their own (aka ‘sasuage party’).

The chase comes to a close when Dash and his friends get onto a boat and sail away, leaving the Asian men behind. The Asian females laugh at the Asian men and seem happy to be leaving Indonesia with their White male thieves.

Apparently, stealing, endangering public safety, being arrogant pricks in an Asian country (Indonesia) that was a victim of western imperialism earns white males respect and popularity from Asian women while humiliating and emasculating Asian men. This is insulting and nonsensical. What would happen if the races and history were reversed?
